Wired Connection

Some phones or vehicle head units, especially aftermarket ones, can only connect to Next HiCar via a wired connection due to hardware limitations.

Prerequisites​

  1. Your phone supports Next HiCar. Only a small number of phones do not support Next HiCar wireless connections and only support wired connections. You can check phone compatibility here: HiCar Supported Phones.

  2. Your vehicle model supports HiCar. Only a few original and aftermarket head units only support wired connections.

    • For original and aftermarket head unit compatibility, you can check here: HiCar Supported Models.
    • For connectivity box solutions, you can check the product sales page. Currently, almost all box solutions support both wired and wireless connections to HiCar.

Steps​

  1. Use a USB data cable to connect your phone to the vehicle head unit. On the first connection, follow the prompts on your phone screen to complete the wired connection.

    tip

    Please use official Huawei phone cables to connect to Next HiCar to avoid connection issues or instability caused by cable problems.

  2. Select "Connect" in the pop-up.

  1. When prompted "Allow auto-connect HiCar", it is recommended to select "Allow".
